To be or not to be at RG?
That is the question of the past few days. After Tati doubted her attendance at Roland Garros in the Wednesday edition of L'Equipe, today's le Parisien claims something completely different - according to the newspaper our young Frenchwoman confirmed yesterday that she would take part in the Grand Slam.
The questions lie ready to hand: Which source is more reliable? If she has changed her mind, why so quickly and unexpectedly? Does it mean she is really ready for RG or does she only want to keep her dreams alive?
Unfortunately, the only person who holds the key to the answers is her, and she will not tell us. Yet she knows about the nature of her injury more than anyone else (save the physicians in Paris of course), so I am sure Tati makes the right decision when the time comes. Till then, let us keep our fingers crossed for her.
*edit 18/05 - Today's L'Equipe comes up with another statement, this time quoting Alain Nédelec, one of the physiotherapists of the French Fed Cup team. This man, who is in a permanent contact with Tati claims that our young Frenchwoman has started with some physical exercise and she has even resumed her on-court practice, though the pain in her ankle has not faded out completely. Still, it is too early to say if she plays at Roland Garros or not, he concludes.
